2019 Honda HR-V Near Manchester NH

The five-passenger HR-V returns for the 2019 model year with quite a few changes. For one, the manual transmission has been discontinued. Honda has also added two trims to this compact crossover's lineup, bringing the total to five: the LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring. Standard equipment on all includes a rear-view camera, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink and Streaming Audio, a 5-inch LCD display. The Touring trim is decked out with amenities such as an eight-way power driver's seat, LED fog lights, and a navigation system. All HR-Vs have a 141 hp four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable transmission with Sport Mode; all trims but the base have dual-mode paddle shifters. All-wheel drive is standard on the Touring and available on the other trims. The EPA has rated the fuel economy for the two-wheel drive at 28 city/34 highway and 27 city/31 highway for the AWD.

Passenger Comfort/Cargo

Space The standard second-row Magic Seat holds the key to the HR-V's cargo-carrying versatility; it folds up to accommodate larger items - even a bicycle. Second-row heating ducts keep backseat passengers warm, and heated front seats are standard on all but the two lowest trims. Push-button start, automatic climate control, and a power sliding moonroof come standard on the top three trims. The EX-L and Touring trims get leather-trimmed seats, with an eight-way power function on the Touring trim's driver's seat.

Safety & Technology

The Honda HR-V is built with Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure to protect occupants in case of a collision. Vehicle Stability Assist with Traction Control comes on all trims to help the driver maintain control when the road surface is less than ideal. The EX, EX-L, and Touring trims get the Honda Sensing suite, which unites the latest active safety technologies to greatly reduce the likelihood of a crash. The system includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic braking, and road departure mitigation. Heated mirrors come standard on the EX, EX-L, and Touring to keep off the ice on days when Jack Frost comes calling.

All but the base-level HR-V come with a customizable 7-inch touchscreen audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration as well as SMS texting function; the three highest trims are also ready for SiriusXM and HD Radio. For safety technology, the Honda Sensing package integrates four very important state-of-the-art collision-mitigating technologies to help make crashes much less likely. The HondaLink app (standard on all but the base trim) will keep you connected for important onboard information (fuel level, oil life readings, etc.), roadside assistance, travel planning, recall notifications, scheduling service appointments, and more.
