The Fit looks the same as before, with no outward updates to speak of except for a slight shade change in the white exterior paint color. As always, the LX, Sport, EX and EX-L trims deliver excellent fuel economy with surprising interior space. Standard features on the base LX include a multi-angle rearview camera, Bluetooth capability, and the versatile second-row Magic Seat. The Sport trim adds fog lights, spoilers, a six-speaker 180-watt audio system with 7-inch touchscreen display, and Apple and Android integration. With the EX trim comes a one-touch power moonroof, Smart Entry, and SiriusXM Radio, and push-button start. The Sport model stands apart in appearance with front, side and rear underbody spoilers, fog lights, and 16-inch black alloy wheels. Both EX trims add push-button start, navigation, Honda LaneWatch, and Smart Entry; the top-of-the-line EX-L adds leather-trimmed seats (heated in the front row), a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and heated side mirrors.

Passenger Comfort & Performance

Thanks to its remarkably versatile Magic Seats, the Fit is bigger than it looks, with 93 cubic feet of passenger space and 52 cubic feet of cargo space. The seats configure into four separate modes - Utility (for general maximum space), Long (think surfboards or lumber), Tall (suitable for a bicycle) and Refresh (which flattens the front and rear rows into a virtual single bed) - to create this capacity and make this model the cargo-carrying champion of its class. Front-seat occupants in EX-L models enjoy heated seats with leather trim.

A 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine is standard on all Fit trims, with a six-speed manual transmission standard on all but the EX-L, which comes with the CVT (with dual-mode paddle shifters) that can be opted for on the lower trims. EPA rates the fuel economy at 29/36/31 city/highway/combined with the manual transmission. The optional CVT improves those ratings to 33/40/36, as estimated by EPA.

Safety & Technology

Every Fit comes with a multi-angle rearview camera, Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control, electronic brake distribution and brake assist, daytime running lights, six airbags, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The Honda Sensing package is standard on the EX and EX-L trims and available on the LX and Sport trims with the continuously variable transmission (CVT) option. This suite of active safety features includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, forward-collision alert and automated emergency braking, plus a new addition: automatic high beams. Honda's LaneWatch system, which projects live video of your passenger-side blind spot area whenever the right-turn signal is engaged, comes standard on the top two trims.

All levels of the Fit come with Bluetooth capability, USB audio interface (connected to the 7-inch touchscreen display that comes standard on all but the base model), daytime running lights, automatic headlights and LED taillights. A standard multi-angle rearview camera provides normal, top-down and wide views. The EX and EX-L come standard with the HondaLink music/media application, Honda LaneWatch, Smart Entry and push-button start; the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with Voice Recognition and HD Traffic can be added to the EX-L trim.
